I bring you the last shop update of the year this week! Christmas is right around the corner, so I’ll have to move from dragons to Christmas presents for family and friends. These guys will be up on Etsy on Friday, October 27, at 6 p.m. PST. I wish I could have made more Halloween items for you all, but alas, customs are taking me much longer than I anticipated. This year has been a tough year for my hands, so I’m working as fast as I can while still hoping they’ll heal.
Biscuit the Dragon
This dragon was so fun to create! I pulled back some of the detail for this so I could really get the texture and shading to stand out. I looked at a lot of pictures of biscuits to try and get the shaping right. It was interesting translating the way a cylindrical object bakes up to something much more complex.
Signed and dated. He’s approximately 4″ from nose to the curve of his tail.
Made from polymer clay. Accented with chalk pastels and glazed for a shiny finish!
Belle the Dragon
Last month, I started a collaboration project on Instagram called #princessartcollab. I invited a few of my fellow creators to help institute this 4 week collaboration, as well as invited my community to participate by using the hashtag! You can read all about this adventure here. First up was Belle, so I used colors that felt very “Belle” to me (basically inspired by her ball gown). I also sculpted a red rose for her to hold in her tail.
She is signed, dated, and numbered for the princess series she’s a part of. She measures approximately 3.5″ long from nose to the curve of her tail.
Made from polymer clay. Accented with pearl ex powders and glazed for a shiny finish.
Snow White the Dragon
Snow White was next in our #princessartcollab. I know yellow is a big component of her dress, but since Belle was already yellow, I wanted to make Snow White stand out in a different color, so I used the deep blue of her dress as the main body color. She holds a bitten poisoned apple in her tail.

Ariel the Dragon
The third dragon I created for the #princessartcollab was based off of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. The colors were very easy to choose for Ariel. I took the seafoam green of her tail, the purple of her shell top, and the red of her hair and used those as the color palette. She holds a shell in her tail, and I tried a new style of merdragon for her as well.

Jasmine the Dragon
Our last week of the #princessartcollab was a choose your own theme. Jasmine is my husband’s favorite princess, so I thought it would be fun to make her. I chose the bright, light blue of her outfit to be the main body color, with gold and black as the accents. She holds a little magic lamp in her tail.

Sugar Skull Dragon and Coffin
If you’ve been following me for a while, you may remember the dragon coffin series I started last Halloween. I had three sets of dragons and coffins (a mummy, a vampire, and a zombie), and I brought them back this year to finish the ones I had started last year but never got to (and I bought many more wooden coffins this year, so I’ll have more available for next Halloween). This is a sugar skull themed coffin. The coffin was an unfinished wooden coffin that has been painted and detailed, and the dragon was sculpted to fit within the coffin.
He’s signed and dated. The coffin measures 5″ tall from tip to bottom.
Made from polymer clay. Skeleton is painted with acrylic paint, and details are laid out with rhinestones. Glazed for a shiny finish!
Pirate Dragon and Coffin
The second dragon and coffin I completed this year is a pirate themed set. My husband saw the octopus charm at Michael’s last year and instantly dove into this idea of a rustic pirate coffin. When I imagined this, I wanted the pirate to be a little more undead looking, but I really like all of this little details.

So that’s a little information about who will be up for adoption on Etsy this week. Who’s your favorite? 🙂
