Working with MySunkissedStudio

Hello all!

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to share a project I’ve done with another artist. Recently Shannon from MySunkissedStudio and I got together and decided to create custom dragons for each other. I’ve been an admirer of her work since I found her on Instagram, and I was excited to have the opportunity to make a OOAK piece for her. If you love dragons and really neat clay effects, be sure to stay tuned for Shannon’s social media information so you can show her your support!

The dragons from MySunKissed studio are full of bright colors and interesting marbled textures of polymer clay, and after looking through her feed, I thought it’d be fun to order a dragon that had marbling in the colors of the German flag (I’m half German, and I thought the bold colors would work really well together). Look at how adorable it is!

As for the dragon I made for Shannon, she wanted a custom dragon that was pastel and translucent, so I did not hesitate to pick up my ice and rose quartz clay for some more gemstone clay fun. I also mixed up a translucent purple and a very slightly transparent, but very pastel, yellow. The pink was the main color while the blue and purple played as my two main accents.
